We were asked to create an interactive work based around cycling as an environmentally and healthy way to travel. We created a rolling observational bingo game that encouraged people to become more aware of their surroundings and environment when travelling by bicycle. Bicycles were fitted with handlebar mounted transistor radios and bingo cards. As the group cycled through East London, pre-set actions and events involving numbers (a numbered football jersey on someone kicking around a ball in the park, a person painting a number sign on a shop front, etc) were revealed and used as the numbers in the game. I led the group as the guide and bingo caller and relayed the visual clues via wireless FM transmitter to the handlebar radios of each of the bicycles.
