When we first saw The Eurovision Song Contest, we were instantly hooked. It was so bizarre, yet so infinitely entertaining that we just knew that we had to make our own tribute to it. Between 2007 and 2011 we did four Foreign Tongues shows. Every show had 7 live acts, each with a corresonding music video to accompany the live performances for the public vote.
Ballots were counted (no funny business either, it was all legit) and the results were delivered via satellite link (from the corner of the room).
The entire show had a DIY spirit as we did everything ourselves. We taught ourselves how to make videos, how to make costumes, and how to seamlessly produce a multimedia spectacle that we were also hosting and performing in.
