2012:
THE APOCALYMPICS
In February 2008 we transformed the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club into a post-apocalyptic thunderdome for London's first and probably only night of "nuclear future sports".
Audience members chosen at random and were placed in our mutation chamber where they were transformed into mutant athletes from a destroyed London of the future. They then had to challenge our Apocalympians to events such as rocket archery, toxic waste eating and robot arm wrestling.
Other than the promo photo and video above, there actually is not much evidence of the actual night. We did uncover a small amount of footage of Bile Boy competing in the toxic waste eating contest. As you can hear it was pretty raw and unhinged. You never know, we may do this again some day.
